Dear Parents and Carers,
What a week to return to school! We hope that many of you were not adversely effected by the burst water pipe on Wednesday. It was great to see how many pupils logged into team to complete the online learning and would like you, as well as staff for your ongoing support.
Home Learning
Home learning grids for this term have been published. You will be able to find them your child's class team and on our website in the specific year group page. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your child's class teacher.
Warmer weather
As the weather has improved, please can you ensure that your child brings a bottle of water. Please send the water in a reusable bottle such as:
Single use plastic bottles should not be used and brought into school. We are aiming to reduce plastic waste and for your child to have access to bottle that they can refill during the day. Children are able to bring in hats. Please make sure that you write your child's name and class clearly on all items so that in the event it is misplaced, we can return the item to its rightful owner.
Please can we ask that you apply sunscreen before school your child comes into school and that they are wearing the correct school uniform with black shoes or trainers.
Attendance
Please do not book holidays or family days during term time. Missing even one or two days of school can be detrimental to your child's learning as key information is missed. Friendships are also affected. Holiday absences will show up as persistent absence which is checked by Ofsted when they visit and monitored closely each half-term by the local authority.
