Global Goal 4 – Quality Education - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a half-term this is turning out to be! We had the amazing Steve Frew, a British artistic gymnast, showcasing the benefits of exercise for health and wellbeing. We celebrated ourselves and Diwali. The school learnt about the festival of light and why this is an important festival for the Hindu Community. We learnt about the importance of remembering Guy Fawkes and why it links to our British Values, and we took part in Remembrance activities to give thanks to those who gave their lives for our freedom. Last week was AntiBullying week when we all 'Made a Noise' and raised money for 'Children in Need'! I wanted to thank our wonderful school community for your kind donations. Even in these difficult times, you prove that we are 'Stronger Together'.

I would like to thank all the families who have been donating pre-loved items for our OPAL initiative. I would also like to thank Mr Gajparia and Vue Cinemas, for their kind donation of cinema vouchers. A big thanks to Miss Thompson and Quick Group of Companies, who donated Hi-Viz jackets with the school on them for our pupils to use!

Assemblies

This half-term has been a showcase for our 'Pupil Voice', who co-created and ran their own assemblies on 'Guy Fawkes', the 'Young Ambassadors for Peace Programme' and 'Remembrance', as well as the play leaders delivering 'Play Assemblies'.

We have also had two fabulous assemblies presented by the pupils, 5 Eclipse and 5 Asteroid. They were nothing less than specular, and I wanted to thank the staff, pupils and the parents who attended for their continued support and dedication!

Parent Pupil and Staff Partnership (PPS)

Thank you to the parents who attended the meeting on Friday 17th November. We are excited about hosting our first event for this academic year, which will be the Christmas Fair that will be held on Friday 15th December.

Please read the letter that was sent out earlier this week for more information that sets out the support we need from you and if you would like to book a stall to sell items. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email the school office via office@belmont.harrow.sch.uk.

We are digitising the way the school operates, this means you will have access to all of the pupils daily learning so that pupils can review what they have learnt during the school day at home.

Please focus on reading with your child every day for at least 20 minutes, help them to learn their times tables and spellings and talk to them about their learning in school.

If you need help or support with online home learning, Mr Baig, our Computing Technician will be available to support you every morning from 8.30am to 9am. You will need to complete the following form to let us know what you need help with:
