Global Goal 4 – Quality Education - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Dear Families,

Summer seems to finally be here! As the weather warms up and our little ones eagerly head off to school, it's essential to ensure they are well-prepared for their day ahead. To help keep our children safe and comfortable during their school activities, here's a friendly reminder of a few important things to do before they head out the door:

  1. Label Everything: From coats to water bottles, labelling your child's belongings can help prevent mix-ups and ensure that lost items find their way back home. A simple label with your child's name can make a big difference!

  2. Don't Forget Hats: With the sun shining bright, it's important to protect our children from harmful UV rays. Please remember to pack a hat for your child to wear during outdoor activities. It's a small step that can make a big difference in keeping them safe from the sun.

  3. Sunscreen is a Must: Before your child leaves for school, don't forget to apply sunscreen! Even on cloudy days, UV rays can be harmful. Applying sunscreen in the morning ensures your child stays protected during outdoor playtime and activities.

By taking these simple steps, we can all contribute to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our children at school. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to your child's well-being.

This half-term we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Hainsworth, who has worked in the school for over 20 years! She has been an instrumental part of the Belmont School's journey, and we know that she has worked with many of your children.

We will be celebrating her time at Belmont School and I know that many of you would like to contribute a “Thank You” message by emailing the school office. If you wish to do so, please email them by Friday 17th May.

Year 6 SATS

A reminder to all Year 6 parents that next week we will be asking children to come to school at 8am. This will help them to relax and to enjoy a nutritious breakfast.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to speak to any member of the Year 6 Team.

Assemblies

A massive well done to the pupils and staff in 1 Sun and 1 Earth who presented two wonderful assemblies with regard to Earth Day and what the pupils in year 1 have been learning about in science. You were incredible!

A huge thank you to all parents for supporting their children in practising their lines and songs. Your ongoing support is invaluable.

Summer Fair - Friday 28th June 2024

Get ready for our Summer Fair on June 28th!

Interested in showcasing your talents and business? Why not reserve a stand!

We need volunteers to make it amazing. Save the date and let's create unforgettable memories together. Email the school office by Thursday 23rd May to volunteer or secure your spot! We look forward to making it an amazing experience for our Belmont School community!

Outstandingly Happy Harrow School!

Happier parents… carers… brothers… sisters…. Grandparents….all tend to have more time and patience.

They are more helpful, create healthier meals, wash your PE kits, read your bedtime stories and put funny voices on when reading them… and all the gazillions of other things that families do.

Note: all these things don’t just happen.  They can make already busy lives a lot busier.  Which is why you can make such a difference.

Being the best version of you goes a long way to helping the rest of your family become the best version of them.

Activity

Make a positive difference at home as well as at school.

Write down three things that you can do to make your family go ‘wow!’. Do them (this evening) and report back.

Do not forget that as a community we are all working in the 2% Mindset mode:
