Global Goal 4 – Quality Education - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are well. This half-term has flown by, and the children have been exceptional in terms of their behaviour and positive attitude to their learning. The staff of the school have worked incredibly hard to help this happen and I know that the support you have given to your children and the school makes a huge difference. Due to the hard work and effort, everyone is tired and looking forward to a well-earned rest.

We loved talking about and sharing examples of the progress that your child has made over this half-term. This morning we shared achievement awards with pupils who are making exceptional progress academically and for children who are model 'Belmontonians!'

We are proud of some of the amazing pupils who wrote a poem in Year 2 who are now published authors! Well done to Norjin, Ali, Archie and Franco for this amazing poem:

'The Feast

Come and join our feast!

Come and join our feast!

Lion swallows wild pigs

Giraffe chews shrubs

Come and join our feast!

Cheetah nibble deer

Hippo munches grass

Rhino eats leaves

Leopards devours fox

Come and join our feast!

Elephant chomps fruits

Zebra gobbles twigs

Come and join our feast!'

Black History Month/Show Racism The Red Card Day, 20th October

I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Belmont School community for turning up today wearing red to 'Show Racisim The Red Card. We are a diverse community who celebrate the 'right to be me', through our values and the rights respecting agenda. In the beautiful words of Bob Marley:

'One Love! One Heart!
Let's get together and feel alright'

We are 'Stronger Together' and here to treat each other with respect, do our best and make the right choices.
UNCRC Article 2 - All children have the right to be treated fairly.

Online Learning Expectations and Support

We continue to set online weekly home learning online via 'Microsoft My Teams'. Staff will review what has been completed and leave feedback on the pupil’s page.

We are digitising the way the school operates, this means you will have access to all of the pupils daily learning so that pupils can review what they have learnt during the school day at home.

Please focus on reading with your child every day for at least 20 minutes, help them to learn their times tables and spellings and talk to them about their learning in school.

If you need help or support with online home learning, Mr Baig, our Computing Technician will be available to support you every morning from 8.30am to 9am. You will need to complete the following form to let us know what you need help with:
