Dear Parents and Carers,

I am amazed that this half-term has flown by! We have had a successful Number Day when we raised over £100 pounds for the NSPCC. Staff have been raising awareness about children's mental health this week, as well as having Microsoft presenting pupils with an assembly about how they can keep themselves safe online on Tuesday for Safer Internet Day. 

Parent and Teacher Meetings were well attended this week. I have had really strong positive feedback from parents stating how much progress that you could see from the start of this academic year! So, I would like to thank staff, pupils, and you parent/carer's for your continued support! 

Our football teams have also been participating in various events this half-term and our girls football team came second place in a tournament! Well done to our football teams, Mr Ayeh-Datey and Mr Clifton!  

I would like to welcome Mr Revens back who was on Paternity leave and who is now the proud father of two wonderful girls! 

Class Assemblies

Congratulations to 3 Mercury who presented a wonderful assembly this morning that was all about 'The Pied Piper of Hamlin'! There was great acting, singing and body percussion! It was excellently planned and delivered! Well done. 

We also had 4 Venus teach us all about the power of story telling and shared some of the stories that they have been learning in school, congratulations and keep up the great acting! 

Thank you to all the parents who attended both of the class assemblies and 3 Galaxy and 3 Planet will have their turn after the half-term break, please do check the school calendar. 

Keeping Children Safe Parent Workshops

A reminder that we will still be hosting three further workshops after the holidays. We had more parents attend Tuesday's session. The parents who attended all agreed on how valuable it was to support their understanding of some of the key issues linked to current safeguarding concerns.

This project has been funded through the John Lyons Charity and will be delivered in schools across Ealing, Brent and Harrow. The project aims to support schools to develop a whole school approach to keeping children safe. As you will be aware, safeguarding is at the forefront of everything we do at Belmont School, therefore we feel this project will build on the outstanding safeguarding work we already do and will ensure that pupils, staff, parents and governors have increased understanding of how to keep children safe.

As part of this project, we will be running a series of parent workshops focused on keeping children safe. Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of safeguarding and parents who attend three or more workshops will receive a certificate of completion.

Below are the dates and topics for the workshops at our school. Each workshop will start at 9am and will last for approximately 60 minutes:
